Physicians can also upload WCB claims, process claims and bill e-consultations. Medi-Messaging provides an “all-in-one” opportunity, that until now has not been available in the medical billing and secure messaging industry. Due to the sensitive nature of the medical industry and the communication that is often required between healthcare professionals, Medi-Messaging has implemented several key safeguards aimed at mitigating any risk associated with communicating patient information. One of the most important safeguards is ensuring that all data and messages are stored on a Canadian server, this ensures all information stays within our Canadian Federal Jurisdiction. We utilize bank level encryption, multi-authentication, and multiple additional levels of protection.

All of these technical safeguards ensure that we are PIPEDA compliant and uphold any and all obligations that are present in legislation such as the Health Information Act, the Personal Information Protection Act (PIPA Alberta), the Freedom of Information and Protection of Privacy Act (FOIPP). Perhaps most importantly, Medi-Messaging has had our Privacy Impact Assessment accepted by the Office of the Information and Privacy Commissioner of Alberta. This is a testament to our commitment to protecting sensitive patient information.

In addition to providing services mutually beneficial to current medical billing services, Medi-Messaging allows its customers to save money normally spent on traditional physical storage of billing information sheets, which allows them to store these files on our secure cloud.

Physicians can earn additional income by allowing doctors the ability to bill e-consultations that in turn provide an immediate return on investment. Perhaps most exciting for us is the ability to finally receive and submit WCB claims on the same business day. This new service can now allow doctors to earn a premium for same day submissions.
